Nerf - Its not just a Football

Since I'm not a big forum reader, and I usually only glance over patch notes for class-specific changes, sometimes I miss important details that apply to gameplay. Some of these have to do with the occasional changes to instances, and I rely on guildies to fill me on them.

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of people STILL leave random pugs when they zone in and find themselves in the Oculus, despite the fact that this zone was nerfed and Blizzard added extra rewards - a goodie bag after the final boss, as well as a chance at a Blue drake mount.
Now, I was notified of this change by a guildie when it came out, so I never abandon Oculus when it comes up as the selected dungeon. So this is just a tip to anyone who might be a casual like me and may not have been aware of the change - make sure that after the final boss everyone loots the chest to get their goodie bag (which contains 2 extra triumph badges as well as a blue gem). This makes the Oculus more than worthwhile.

Back by Popular Demand!

After gearing up my undead rogue, and levelling a BE priest and completely gearing HIM with both a T9 healing set and a T9 dps set, I can finally settle down and get back to my little gnome mage alter ego.

Although I'll still be playing mostly on weekends so I can raid on weeknights with my horde guild, I can begin the hunt for mage gear. I'm very satisfied so far, after picking up T9 shoulders and gloves, as well as the lvl 245 wand - thanks go to Luela for giving me a pointer on my arcane spec (frost is STILL more fun!) that allowed me to be well over 2k dps in pugs with NO gear - I can't wait to see how it goes when he is FULLY geared.

Anyhoo, it's good to see my ADS friends again, even though they're Alliance SCUM (slipping back into horde parlance, for the moment)...
